Drainage Channel at Bilster Berg Race Track
Our drainage channel MAXI F1 was installed at the Bilster Berg Drive Resort in the Teutoburg Forest in 2013 in Germany. The Drive Resort currently covers 82 hectares and has been developed on a former military site. In addition to research and development opportunities for the automotive industry offered by the approximately 4.2 km long track, brand cups, driving and safety training courses and other events are held here.
The Project
The race course is adapted to the natural conditions, so that about 70 metres of altitude with gradients of up to 10 % have to be mastered when driving on it. The project was financed exclusively from private funds, the total investment volume for planning and track construction was around 34 million euros. The idea came from local entrepreneur Marcus Graf, who was supported by F1 track architect Hermann Tilke and rally expert Walter Röhrl, among others. The contract for supplying the drainage technology with manhole covers and drainage channels was awarded to HYDROTEC Technologies AG
Drainage Channel MAXI F1
The drainage channel MAXI F1 was used for race track. This channel was specially developed for the requirements of a race track and has already been installed on the new Formula 1 circuit in Istanbul. Especially the special locking system covers the extremely high requirements in the high security area. A total of 4,385 metres were installed.
