Drainage in the Industrial Area

Central Location for All Types of Construction Machinery

Liebherr has opened a new branch with a modern hall in Schüttorf, bringing together the former Münster and Lingen locations at one central site. On the company premises, which are frequented by heavy construction machinery, our durable drainage channels ensure fast and efficient drainage.

Continuous Investments in the Sales and Service Network

The Liebherr Group, headquartered in Switzerland, continuously invests in its production facilities as well as in its global sales and service network. This also includes the town of Schüttorf in Lower Saxony, located in the district of Grafschaft Bentheim near the Dutch and North Rhine-Westphalian borders. On an area of nearly 18,000 square meters, Liebherr-Baumaschinen Vertriebs- und Service GmbH and Liebherr-Mietpartner GmbH have opened a new site employing around 60 people. The new Liebherr branch in Schüttorf consolidates the previous locations in Münster and Lingen at a single central site in order to serve the Emsland and Münsterland regions even more effectively. This marks an important step in the development of Liebherr-Baumaschinen Vertriebs- und Service GmbH, founded in 2011.

Modern Hall with Convenient Transport Links

The company group invested around twelve million euros in the new branch, which benefits from its convenient location near the A30/A31 motorway interchange. The new Schüttorf site is responsible, among other things, for servicing construction machinery from the Liebherr earthmoving program—from regular maintenance to complete overhauls of the respective Liebherr machines. In addition, the new location serves as a rental station for Liebherr-Mietpartner GmbH, whose rental fleet comprises more than 1,200 Liebherr products at 16 rental stations across Germany.

The spacious site features a modern, high-quality hall with five bays and a photovoltaic system on the roof, a 1,350-square-meter assembly pit, a 600-square-meter administration building, a 200-square-meter wash bay, and an open storage area.

Effective Drainage on the Heavy-Duty Site

For effective drainage of the site, where many heavy-duty vehicles are in operation, the HYDROblock® heavy-duty drainage channel system—specifically developed for these demanding conditions—was installed.

HYDROblock® drainage channels, shown here in the DN 200 version with an inlet cross-section of 718 cm²/m, offer significant advantages already during on-site logistics and transportation. The channel elements, with a construction length of 1,000 mm, a height of 295 mm, and a component weight of 66.1 kg, can be installed quickly and without difficulty. Installation of this linear drainage system is also advantageous due to its monolithic design, which ensures rattle-free operation by eliminating loose parts.
